Specimen Stability: Maintain the specimen in cytology fixative at room temperature.
Unacceptable Specimen: Unlabeled specimens, Specimens in incorrect fixative (such as formalin) can only be processed as a cell block.
Limitations: Lack of cellularity, adequacy
