Isaac R. Grindeland, M.D.

Dr. Grindeland joined Incyte Diagnostics in 2014. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and completed a fellowship in gastrointestinal pathology.  Dr. Grindeland is currently serving as the Laboratory Medical Director at Pullman Regional Hospital in Pullman, WA; Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, ID; and Whitman Hospital and Medical Center in Colfax, WA.  

Dr. Grindeland graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biology from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND, where he also completed his medical degree at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. During this time he served as the American Medical School Association Treasurer. He was also honored with the Fargo Campus Medical Society Award, which is given
to the student who best exemplifies high scholarship and characteristics of integrity, leadership, and initiative.
After obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Grindeland completed his residency at Penrose-St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs, CO. During his final year of residency, Dr. Grindeland became the chief resident.
Dr. Grindeland completed a gastrointestinal pathology fellowship in Cleveland, OH, under the directorship of Robert E. Petros, a world renowned gastrointestinal pathologist.
Dr. Grindeland remained in Colorado Springs as a pathologist at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. His practice included surgical pathology, flow cytometric analysis interpretation, performing FNAs and bone marrows, cytology including GYN and non-GYN, autopsies, SPEP and IF interpretation, peripheral blood reviews, anatomic and clinical pathology calls, presenting lectures to med tech students, presentations at tumor boards, breast conferences, GI conferences, GI tumor boards, and pulmonary conferences.
At Memoral Hospital, Dr. Grindeland was appointed as the Gastrointestinal Conference Director, Point of Care Director, as well as Pathology Head of the Gastrointestinal Tumor Board.
Dr. Grindeland was appointed as a CAP inspector of anatomic pathology and histology for the Poudre Valley Health System in Fort Collins, CO. He is licensed to practice in Ohio, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington.
