Jose D. Masi, M.D.

Dr. Masi has been practicing pathology in Washington state since 1986. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. He is also certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the Educational Council of International Medical Graduates.

Dr. Masi was valedictorian at the National University Medical School in Asuncion, Paraguay. After graduation, Dr. Masi served as a histology instructor at the National University. He later became a pathology instructor at the University of Maryland.

Dr. Masi served as a Commissioned officer and Lieutenant Colonel for the Medical Corp of the U.S. Army Reserve where he taught at both the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, and the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA.  During his time in San Antonio, Dr. Masi became the President of the San Antonio Society of Pathologists.  He also became a Clinical Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Washington Medical School in Seattle, WA.
While serving in the Army, Dr. Masi, worked as a Chief Surgeon, Director of Electron Microscopy, and as the Assistant Chief of Anatomic Pathology, for both the Brooke Army Medical Center and the Madigan Army Medical Center. During this time he received an Army Commendation Medal, as an award for meritorious service.

Dr. Masi is active in numerous societies including the College of American Pathologists, the Washington State Society of Pathologists, the Pacific Northwest Society of Pathologists, and the Yakima County Medical Society.
