Stephen H. Hooper, M.D.

Dr. Hooper joined Incyte Diagnostics in 2014. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and hematopathology.  Dr. Hooper is currently serving as the Laboratory Medical Director at Walla Walla General Hospital in Walla Walla, WA.

After graduating with a B.S. in Biology from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO; Dr. Hooper completed his medical degree at the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, MO.
 
Dr. Hooper completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He completed a fellowship in hematopathology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.
 
Dr. Hooper completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, VA.
 
Dr. Hooper has been a physician in the armed forces for 20 years. He was stationed as a general medical officer at the Marine Aircraft Wing, Fleet Marine Force Pacific in Okinawa, Japan; as a staff pathologist at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD; Chief of Pathology Services at Erling Berquist Hospital, Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, NE; Chief of Hematology, staff pathologist and consultant hematopathologist at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX and San Antonio Military Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.
 
Dr. Hooper was a clinical instructor at the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine (USUHS) in Bethesda, MD. He taught at the National Capital Consortium in Bethesda, MD as an attending pathologist. Dr. Hooper also taught at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health
Education Consortium (SAUSHEC) as an attending pathologist in San Antonio. TX.
 
Dr. Hooper served as a Team Leader and member of CAP inspection teams for six years.
