Nathan J. Thompson, D.O.
Dr. Thompson joined Incyte Diagnostics in 2017. He is board certified in hematology as well as anatomic and clinical pathology. 
After graduating with a B.A. in German form Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, Dr. Thompson completed medical school at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. 
Prior to his fellowship training, he completed a residency at Penrose St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs, CO. The residency program included a busy bone marrow service, where he gained an interest in hematopathology. During his final year of residency, he served as the chief resident.
Dr. Thompson completed his fellowship training in hematopathology at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. During his fellowship, Dr. Thompson was able to review many unusual and complex consult cases from around the country, and work under the direction of multiple authorities in his field.
Before joining Incyte Diagnostics, Dr. Thompson practiced in Topeka, Kansas providing surgical pathology services, flow cytometry interpretation, GYN and non-GYN cytology, SPEP and IFE interpretation and hemoglobin electrophoresis interpretation. He performed many bone marrow biopsies and was active in multiple tumor conferences. Dr. Thompson also served as director of the hematology lab, and was actively involved in expanding the number of immunohistochemical stains performed in-house.
