General Information |
This test is NOT for monitoring Anti-Xa for unfractionated heparin (see: HIXA), low molecular weight heparin (see: LMWXA), Rivaroxaban level (see: RIVAR1), or Apixaban level (see: APIXN1). This test is NOT intended for monitoring warfarin effect in patients being bridged from bivalirudin (see: CHRF10). Factor 10 activity is used for diagnosing deficiency of coagulation factor 10, congenital or acquired. |

Limitations |
Patients on bivalirudin (Angiomax), dabigatran (Pradaxa), argatroban (Novastan), rivaroxaban (Xarelto), apixaban (Eliquis), and edoxaban (Savaysa) may show prolonged clotting times. This may cause an under- estimation of the factor concentrations. |
