General Information |
Immunoglobulins are an important class of proteins involved with the immune response. Immunoglobulin E is associated with allergic and parasitic activation. After exposure, also called sensitization, an individual will produce IgE. The total IgE test will measure the overall quantity of a patient’s serological immunoglobulin E. Assay results should be used in conjunction with clinical findings and other serological tests. |
